Aether is a ham radio logging application for the Mac. Aether includes tools to quickly and easily log QSOs while on the air, as well as organize, search and track your QSOs later. Aether was designed for macOS, and has the same kind of clean, intuitive, friendly interface you've come to expect on the Mac.

If you search Google for Amateur (or Ham) Radio Software, you will get a lot of results, but not a lot of information. One of the biggest problems is that you get links to old sites with outdated information. I will attempt to keep this page up to date with recent information.

Oct 14, 2009 Xastir is an open source project (available for Mac, Linux, and Windows) that links your Mac to a radio and then translates the APRS packets into location and message information that can be.

For now, this page will be limited to Windows 7/10 software (say no to XP!), and eventually may include Mac OS and Linux. It will not be limited to free software. Some software may be included in multiple sections (e.g., a logger that is also part of a suite).

Logging / QSL Software

Logging may be one of the most basic operations of a digital shack. Logging software obviously keep track of your individual contacts, but typically provides other services, including QSLing (including cards), filing with eQSL and LoTW, awards tracking, and interfacing with other software. Logging apps also typically provide basic rig control. Software suites usually provide at least basic frequency rig control.

Control Software
