Device Won't Power On
The Radar will not respond or show any sign of powering up.
Faulty Lighter Adapter
Ensure the lighter adapter is plugged in and the on light is on. If the light is not on, and the adapter is plugged in, the adapter is faulty. Consider purchasing a replacement adapter.
Passport Radar 9500ix Software
Distorted Audio/No Sound Is Produced
The sound being produced by the radar sounds staticky or no sound is being produced at all.
Faulty Speaker
If the sound from the radar sounds distorted or won’t produce sound when it should be, then the devices speaker could be at fault. Go to Escort Radar 9500IX Speaker Replacement Guide and follow the steps to replacing your radar speaker.
Display Hangs On Black Screen
Your radar’s display is black and won’t show anything on its display.
Faulty Lighter Adapter
Make sure that the radar is connected and powered on. If the radar is connected but doesn’t power on, then you could have a faulty lighter adapter and needs to be replaced.
Faulty Display
If the radar’s display isn’t responding and just stays on the black screen, then the display is damaged and at fault. First check to see if the display brightness is up. If the brightness is up and the display is still on a black screen, then the display is at fault. Contact Escort Radar Company to replace your radar.
